Holy Long Time No Blog!!!

Hey! How are ya? I'm doing pretty good! Thirty, flirty and thriving! And I have a new job! I'm working at Great West Life as a file clerk. And I love it. There's tons of potential to move up, and that makes me happy. My boss is really nice and it turns out her Westie is Bailey's older sister! Small world!!!! My coworkers are amazing, and makes me think that it WASN't me, with the whole Portage thing. No regrets for quitting that job! Learning lots and there are daily challenges, so that's good too.

Bailey graduated from Puppy school and I will probably register him in the next class. He learned lots of tricks and stuff, but continues to chew books. He ate the Bible Dictionary yesterday. The most comical thing that occurred lately was when we were walking the other day and pciked up an old Tim's cup. I don't normally allow him to pick up garbage, but he looked so comical carrying this HUGE cup in his mouth, I couldn't not let him carry it. I just wish I had had my camera. He had to stop halfway down the street to take a break, but then picked it up again and brought it into the yard. He played with it around the backyard, batting it with his nose or his paw, took it under his tree, and then brought it out and shredded it! :) It was hillarious to watch him have so much fun with somebody's cup. To the litterer who left their cup by the townhouses, Bailey salutes you! He sure does love to play with take out cups!

Updates soon

Clean, Green Sitting Machine

Due to -40'c temperatures, my car mats were full of snow and frozen solid. I brought the drivers' side one in to thaw it out and try to clean it up! This afternoon, i brought it upstairs to shampoo it. Little did i know.... My mother decided i should continue on, as there were a few spots that the dog had had accidents on. I ended up shampooing the entire upstairs carpets except for where the furniture was) and a very dirty green chair. The chair is now fantabulous! We couldn't believe how green it could be! I threatened Bailey that he shouldn't even think of accidents inside this week. He's been very good about going out and telling us he needs to go out. I can almost say we've got him house trained! Finally! Crate training rocks! And I am all for clicker training! He's learning that at puppy school right now, and it was $80 well spent! He's been so much better since we started clicker school. For more information, please go here and learn all about it! I highly recommend it! It takes the frustration out of training ur dog. Didn't get two of the jobs i interviewed for. i'm still looking! No word on the third, and i left another message on friday. Keep praying, please!

The Job Search Steps Up in High Gear

Hi! So, Friday was my last day! Yippee! And then panic. I'm now unemployed. There will not be a pay check after this coming Friday. Eeek. I'm trying to stay true to the word of God and not worry about it. He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it! I've sent out a few more resumes and even cancelled lunch with a friend, in hopes of landing some employment. I haven't heard a lot of feedback so far, but I will keep you posted.

The good news is my cute guy from the Pal on Grey Cup Weekend does still exist, and I saw him this weekend at the Pal. The bad news is I was too chicken to go and talk to him! Hopefully, I'll see him again. Don't think i've liked anyone this much since Garrett!

I quit!

I gave my two weeks notice last friday. This Friday is my last day!!! I had three interviews on Monday, so if you think about it, pray for me. I would be thrilled with any of the jobs i applied for. Other than that, not much else is new. Bailey starts puppy school this week. I joined the prayer team at church. So if you have any prayer requests, send em my way. Always have, and always will be, an intercessor.

PS Do all people in Portage hate people from Winnipeg, or was it just me?

Happy New Year!

We woke up to a HUGE pile of snow New Year's Eve day. I let Bailey out and he jumped into the snow and it was over his nose. I lauged. You should have seen him trying to move through the snow while i shovelled. It took me an hour to shovel just the patio. And then, my fabulous neighbor came and blew out the driveway with his snowblower while another shovelled with his kids! My neighbors rock! I spent a fun New Year's with Tanya and Sarah playing board games and EATING, but didn't bring my camera so i will have to wait until they send me pictures before I post any of those ones, as I have none of my own.

Here's Bailey a few days later. Mr. Bailey got snipped last week. Poor little guy. And they put a cone on his head. He was unimpressed the first couple of days, but now, it seems to be fun for him. When we go for walks, he scoops the snow out of his way.

He's being a bit of a brat, but it's to be expected I guess. I was going to sign him up for obedience school lessons, but will wait as classes start this week, and i don't want him to be the weird dog with the funny cone around his neck that the other dogs make fun of. This can traumatize animals. Look at what happened to Rudolph when he tried to join in the reindeer games. hehehehe...

I hope you're keeping well, and i look forward to your comments!
